A Study on impact of ‘ChotaBheem’ on children’s social behavior

Abstract


Today children view hundreds of animation characters with differentassigned behaviors in cartoon programs. Children's televisionprograms today are not only source of entertainment but also sourceof learning for our children. This study analyzes the content ofpopular Indian cartoon - ChotaBheem. The main focus is to examinethe impact of ChotaBheem on children's social behavior throughcontent analysis and participatory observation method. It alsoanalyzes the impact of animated characters on the product liking &preferences of children and on perceptions of parents. Studyconcludes that cartoon series ChotaBheem influences the children'ssocial behavior and product preferences.
